1 Ongoing Job Fair participation Careers at Midcontinent Media (in Minneapolis) are promoted at all jobs fairs attended throughout our regions. Due to the very limited number of openings at Midcontinent Media, careers with Midcontinent are promoted throughout job fairs in our service area (ND and SD). Staffing Manager, Erin Cambier, as well as all local hiring managers
2 Summer 2007 Internship Opportunities Internship opportunities were made available in all regions including Minneapolis. We had 1 intern in the Minneapolis region. Debbie Stang, Vice President of Human resources supervised 1 intern in the HR department.
3 May-June 2007 Supervisor's Training regarding EEO, FCC and recruiting required initiatives and diversity in the workplace. This training program is designed to communicate to supervisors the company’s commitment and accountability to EEO and to train them on EEO responsibilities applicable in all phases of employment.  Employment decisions are made within the region consistent with the FCC program. All Midcontinent managers and supervisors are required to attend Supervisor's training on an ongoing basis. All supervisors working in the Minneapolis office attended this training.
4 September-07 Scholarship program began Meetings were held with 4 vocational schools to establish scholarship programs for students interested in pursuing a career in telecommunications. We established guidelines for awarding the scholarhsips as well as schoalarship amounts. Scholarship awards will begin in 2008.
