Our Roots

Since our beginning in a small movie theater in Minneapolis during the Great Depression, innovation and foresight have shaped Midcontinent's course for since 1931. Today, Midcontinent is a diversified company with interests in 350 communities throughout North and South Dakota, Minnesota and in Wisconsin. Our operations in data, video, telephone services, and advertising place Midcontinent in a leadership role for each of its industries - for today and for the future.

While we continue to grow, we will always hold to our original beliefs -- to provide the finest services possible, with more choices and more value for our customers.
