Dear Midcontinent:

On behalf of our Board of Directors thank you for the Midcontinent Foundation’s donation of $3,000 towards our “community kitchen” project here at the Backus Community Center. Thanks to a generous grant from the Otto Bremer Foundation, your $3,000 will be matched dollar-for-dollar.

We are meeting next week with our kitchen equipment supplier and contractors to finalize plans. Work on the remodeling of our dining area will start within two weeks with kitchen construction to follow after plan approval from the Minnesota Department of Health.

Your donation means a lot to us and the success of the project. We appreciate your support. I’ll look forward to the contact from a Midcontinent representative in the near future.
