It starts with our self-healing fiber optic network, backed by direct fiber connections to three separate Tier 1 Internet providers. These redundant fiber rings, which blanket our states and cover many points throughout any given city, render a fiber cut less disruptive than a paper cut. In fact, thanks to these ingenious rings, when a fiber cut occurs (and yes, unfortunately, they still do occur), all network traffic instantaneously reverses direction so your service is virtually uninterrupted – less than 50 milliseconds.

NPNet is also power redundant. We employ thousands of batteries and hundreds of generators situated throughout the region. This added redundancy ensures your service continues uninterrupted, even during power outages. And here’s a fun fact: should your power fail, our network is so micromanaged, we generally know of the power failure before the power company – and often notify them on your behalf. |
