DVR stands for Digital Video Recorder. What it really means is, you’re not a slave to the TV schedule. A DVR is similar to your standard digital tuner, but it also has a hard drive you can use to save hours and hours of your favorite shows to watch whenever you want. Cool? It gets even better.
DVR may sound like a VCR, but it’s so much more, doing things no VCR ever could. Like record two shows at once. Or automatically record an entire season of a show. Watch one show while recording another. Or even pause, rewind and record live shows! Just highlight a show in the Interactive Program Guide and hit the record button on your remote. Then watch the shows you want, when you want. It’s like being the programming executive of your own network.
